Robin Hood

Segundo a lenda, Robin Hood roubava dos ricos para dar aos pobres e vivia com a sua gangue e Maid Marion na Floresta Sherwood, perto de Nottingham. Mas isso é um mito ou realidade? Alguns dizem que ele realmente existiu e viveu de 1160 -1247, sendo enterrado em Kirklees Priory em West Yorkshire. A história diz que Robin (ou Robert) foi nomeado Conde de Huntingdon por Ricardo, Coração de Leão e que a inscrição na lápide em Kirkles é uma cópia do original. Mas historiadores contemporâneos não citam Robin Hood, o que é raro considerando a sua popularidade. Much like King Arthur, Robin is a fictional figure who may have been loosely based on a real person or persons. Robin Hood has been played in the movies by Errol Flynn (1938), Kevin Costner (1991) and Sean Connery (1976), among others; he was portrayed as a fox in the 1973 Disney animated version of the tale.
